Joseph (Joe) Anthony Baca Jr. went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 11, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on June 7, 1929 in Santa Rosa, NM. He was married to the Love of his life, Connie for 56 years. Some of their favorite times together were spent traveling in their motor home across the US and parts of Canada. The Grandkids were always thrilled to see Tata and Nana drive up in their house on wheels! Joe had many names: Dad, Tata, Uncle, Brother, Papa Bear, and Stinky. :) He was a man who felt a deep sense of responsibility to make a difference by serving his country in the Army Air Corps and serving his communities as a New Mexico State Policeman, Albuquerque City Policeman, Valencia County Under Sheriff, and Los Lunas City Councilman to name a few. He was also quite the entrepreneur, demonstrating that with the many businesses he and mom started such as; Little Loans, The Fence Post, The Pawn Shop, and finally Baca's Village Insurance. Some of Joe's accomplishments include; General Manager for Seaboard Finance Company for the State of New Mexico, President and member of Rotary and a member of the Elks and American Legion.

Joe is survived by his children; Carla Chambers, Joseph Baca III (Vivian), Cyndi McKay (Bob), and Maria Chrissinger (Stephen). His Grandchildren; James Rightley (Jenell), Michele Rightley, Cindy Bishop (Scott), Britney McKay (FiancÚ Aaron Straub), Samantha Baca, Morgan McKay, Natalie Baca, and John Chrissinger. His Great Grandchildren; Taryne, James Jr., Moriah, Noelle, and Faith Rightley, Addicyn and Payson Bishop. His Siblings; Laute Lucero (Florence), Cres Baca, and MaryAnn Chavez. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Connie (2007), his son Phillip (1998), and his parents Joseph Baca Sr., and Carmen Lucero. Our family would love to extend our heartfelt Gratitude to Elia Sandoval and Christina Quintana for their loving care of our father. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the San Clemente gathering room, 244 Luna Ave Los Lunas, NM. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:00 am at the San Clemente Catholic Church. Internment will follow at San Clemente Cemetery.
