Richard "Danny" Lucero

Richard “Danny” Lucero passed away on August 05, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 64.

Richard is survived by his sisters, Esther Garcia-Vargas (Julian Vargar), Theresa Martinez (Leo Martinez), and Briseida Lucero; brother, Ernest Lucero; and lots of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Felipe Lucero, father, Phil Garcia, and mother, Ruby Garcia.

Richard was born on November 11, 1957, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Ruby Martinez Garcia and Phil Garcia. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1976. He worked as a Switchboard Operator for Lovelace for 10 years.

Richard loved riding his bike and going to Flea markets. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A rosary will take place at 1:00pm with a service to follow on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Sara Rd. Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, NM 87124. An interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
