In the early morning hours of April 11th, 2021 Steven Paul Zamora AKA “Consiquence” was called home at the early age of 29.
Steven was born on September 9th, 1991 in Albuquerque NM. Steven was survived by his mother Eloisa Martinez, Father Paul Zamora, step father Jerry Martinez, his brother Anthony Zamora, Daughters Elena Cordova, Genesis Zamora, Son’s Azrael Zamora and Timothy Pena.
Steven was adored by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, church family and his biker community.
Steven Graduated high school and went on to barber college where he became a sub-contractor and created his own brand “Steven’s Styles”.
Steven barbered at “Exquisite Barber Parlor”, he took pride in creating unique designs, Steven had a passion for what he did, and he was extremely talented, he had a very large clientele. He was proud of his accomplishments.
Steven’s goals were to become a mobile barber with his own brand, traveling the world. Steven was in the early stages of making this happen when God called him home. One of Steven’s sayings was “Barbers don’t get old-they fade”. His favorite thing to say to his Co-worker was “you’re not my wife Rosie”. (Adapted from the movie “La Bamba”)
He quoted: Lombardi often, here’s a couple of quotes from Lombardi he seen daily.
“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge but rather in a lack of will”.
He believed “The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have”.
Steven was beyond proud to be part of the biking community and considered his fellow bikers his family, he loved “riding”. Of course as any mother, Eloisa would stay behind praying for his safety as Steven would leave “to ride” with his family.
Eloisa would tell Steven be careful! He would always say; “don’t worry mom, I’m good! Nothing is going to happen to me because you’re praying for me. Besides, if something happens and God calls me home; I went doing what I love the most…riding”.
Steven’s smile lit up the room, everyone you speak to will say the same thing. “Steven had the biggest smile”, a loving heart and gave the biggest most sincere hugs. Steven always made sure he said “I love you” before he left any room.
Steven had “swag”, “charisma” and the ability to uplift just about anyone, people were drawn to him, loved being around him. He had a “certain something” that people just wanted to be around. One memory many have shared was “Steven would drop in or just call randomly; to say I love you, just when I needed it the most”.
Steven loved to laugh, he could laugh at just about anything, he loved to sing, dance, travel, say “I love you” often and thankfully he loved his pictures.
Steven’s bother Anthony and Cousin Junior were remembering how Steven used to like to use the name “Paul”.
Anthony said; every time we would go out to eat as a group after church and Steven was in charge of making arrangements, I would never get the name right. I would ask for reservations under Steven forgetting about the “Paul thing”. I asked Steven “why did you put the reservation under Paul”? Steven would say “I just like that name”.
Junior said; Steven would always tell me “if the chicks ask” tell them “my name is Paul”. Junior says I asked why Paul? Again Steven said, I just like that name and it’s my middle name so I can use it.
Anyone that knew Steven knew; he had to put his own spin on things, he was destined to be unique. Just like with his name “Consiquence” he didn’t want to spell it according to Grammar, he changed the “E” in it to an “I” so that it was spelled “Steven’s style”.
His favorite songs,
Street runner-By Rod Wave
Reach for the stars-By Wiz Khalifa
What you know about love-By Pop smoke
Steven was a proud member of the Tabernacle of Love Faith and Hope church where his entire family attended and his Aunt Pastored. One thing about Steven is he loved God, he trusted in him. Steven’s mom Eloisa said; Steven always listened to either a spiritual teaching or a Christian song while he was getting ready to leave for the day.
He was a proud loving father, he took pride in his children and made sure they knew “daddy loved them”. Steven’s Son Azrael said; “my daddy’s favorite saying was…I love you”
He loved his family, adored his mother whom he said was “his queen”, he was beyond close with his bother Anthony. Steven will be missed by so many.
I’m sure Steven is looking down this very moment and saying “that’s my family” every one of them! Sending me home just the way I would have wanted…In style! Anyone who knew Steven knew, he had a taste for style.
The family would like to extend a very sincere and heart felt thank you! To all who have shown such love during this difficult time. For all that fund raised, brought a hot meal, gave a warm hug and shared a loving tear with the family.
Steven’s aunts said “I have never seen such love and support from hundreds…not many…but literally hundreds of people”. “Not even politicians get this kind of outpour”. With great love comes great pain and it’s evident there was great love by all of you for Steven, as we sit here in pain and grieve a life cut short. We thank God and his mother Eloisa for sharing Steven with us for 29 years.
The entire family is simply astonished at the support and love that every single one of you have shown.
Thank you sincerely to all his family, blood or not, if you are here to honor Steven we know he was your family and you held a special place in his heart. Again thank you for sending Steven home in style.
