Eric rocked and rolled his way out of this life on Friday, March 18, 2016. He was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on January 25, 1945, to Richard and Elizabeth Stoehr. He was a loving and devoted husband to Monica "Marni" who were married on May 20, 1983 in San Francisco, CA.
Eric was an Air Force veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War.
He attended the University of Miami earning a BA Degree and then a Masters Degree in Architecture from UNM.
Eric's career successes brought him and Marni to New Mexico from California which included the Intel project FAB8, designing schools and habitats for many Indian Pueblos, including "Indian School" in Santa Fe, Acoma, along with many other projects in NM, CA, Israel,Hong Kong.
He also published a book "Bonazza Victoria", on the historic mining towns of Colorado.
Eric was a man of Integrity, "he always said what he meant and meant what he said." he had an electric, contagious, positive attitude about LIFE, work, and loving his wife and family. After battling with leukemia he died peacefully in his home. Eric always said, "SOMETIMES YOU GET THE BEAR AND SOMETIMES THE BEAR GETS YOU!".
Eric is survived by wife, Monica "Marni"; daughters, Kimberly and Trisha; grandchildren, Nicolas and Whitney; brother, Peter; sister, Karla; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Sofie girl".
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 5:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A rosary will follow visitation at 6:00 PM at Wyoming Chapel.
