Age 84, passed away December 9, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Carolina was born January 11, 1932 in Cuba, NM the daughter of Anita Garcia.  She lived in Cuba her entire life. She was a religious woman and was devoted to her church.
Carolina was proceeded in death by her mother, Anita Garcia; and her husband of 64 years, Andres.
Carolina is survived by her five children, Manuel Maestas and wife Evelyn Garcia, George Maestas, Irene Sanchez and husband Joseph, Andrew Maestas, Anthony Maestas and wife Elaine; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Maestas and wife Diondra, Valerie Trask and husband Paul, Rebekah Maestas, Jennifer Martinez, Joseph Sanchez and wife Monica, Melissa Maestas, Jessica Maestas, and Andrew J. Maestas; five great-grandchildren, Gavin and Alena Maestas, Jenna Ramirez, Kai,  Ari, and Eli Trask.
A viewing will be held at 4:00 pm and a Rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM.  Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque.  For more information or to leave a message of condolence, please visit www.danielsfuneral.com.
