Duran-Gallegos, Christina  
Age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home in Socorro with her loving family at he side. She was born in El Porvenir, NM on February 27, 1927, to Luis and Eloisa Crespin Duran. Christina was a woman of great faith and loved to sing in the church choir. She enjoyed sewing, canning, singing and dancing, but most of all she loved caring for her family. She was a really good cook, had a green thumb and was an excellent artist. Christina was a very hard worker and very family oriented and taught her children how to forgive and to respect people. She had a very loving and gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Juan and Martin H. Gallegos; her husband, Anacleto Gallegos; sisters, Rogelia Carrillo and Maxine Gonzales; and brothers, Mike, Gilbert and Raymond Duran.  Christina is survived by daughters, Janet Lucero and Louisa Lopez( Richard); sons, Cruz Gallegos and Henry Gallegos (Jo Ann); brothers, Austin Duran and Frank Duran (Irene); grandchildren, Felix (Steve), Lucinda (Stephen), Richard II (Stacie) and Stefanie (Ian), Angela (Jake), Christina (James), Nicholas, Manny (April) and Daniel Gallegos; great grandchildren, Andrew, Serena, Michael, Steven, Joaquin, Stefanie K, Esperanza, Pat, Dylan, Gihanna, Andraia and Alluwellen; her favorite nephew, Alfonso Gallegos; her caregiver, Priscilla Baca-Torres; and Christina's calico cat, Mimi. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 8:30 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real NW, Socorro with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 am. Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant.  Burial will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at the San Antonio Cemetery in El Porvenir, NM.  Pallbearers will be James Garvin, Jake Stout, Richard Lopez, Felix Lopez -Mull, Nick Gallegos and Alfonso Gallegos.  Honorary pallbearers are Angela Sobien, Christy Garvin, Cruz Gallegos, Austin Duran, Frank Duran, Tristan Grego, Michael Lopez Mull, Steven Lopez Mull, Joaquin Lopez Mull, Stefanie Lopez, Lucinda Lopez, Manny Gallegos and Daniel Gallegos.  To view information or leave a condolence, please visit www.danielsfuneral.com.
