Vargas, Feliciano
Age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Feliciano was born June 9, 1926 to Marcos and Carlota (Macias) Vargas in Zapotiltic, Mexico. Feliciano truly lived the American dream. He came to the United States as a young man and through hard work and perseverance became a master craftsman and trusted employee in the carpet industry. By this, he was able to provide for his family and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He met and married Virginia Lauricella in 1955. Together with his wife he was an active member of the Catholic Church, and helped care for children of Mexico needing a home after undergoing surgery. He possessed a kind and friendly spirit, loved to eat steak and seafood, and enjoyed expressing his “green thumb” by way of gardening. Virginia preceded him in death in 2012. Feliciano is survived by his son, Fred Vargas of Albuquerque, and his granddaughters, Devananda and Nicole Vargas. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2016 with the Rosary to be recited at 7 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10 am, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Road NE in Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
