A long time resident of Belen, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Glenn was born September 30, 1928, in Syracuse, NY.
Glenn attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with degree in education. He taught chemistry, physics and radiation biology at Belen High School, and retired from the Belen Consolidated Schools after more than 30 years of service. Glenn was also head of the Belen Area Food Pantry for 10 years. He was a very active member of St. Phillip's Episcopal Church in Rio Communities for close to 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Glenn William Oliver Sr.
Glenn is survived by the love of his life, Ida Anthony, whom he married on June 6, 1953; and daughter, Robyn C. Oliver of Roseville, MN.
A memorial service celebrating Glenn's life will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2013 at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Rio Communities. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made in his name to St. Philip's Episcopal Church.
