Isabel Madrid, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Albuquerque, NM surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Cresencio Salazar, Isabel Maria Trujillo, and Carlos Madrid (Stepfather); brother, Jose Eliseo Salazar; sister Ruby Valdez; nieces: Josephine (Pina) Valdez, Lisa Sanchez.

Isabel is survived by her loving husband of 52 years William Madrid; son Joseph Madrid; daughter Geraldine Madrid-Chavez (Ray) brothers Jose Ernesto Salazar (Ester), Miguel Salazar; sisters Estephanita Maes (Lee), Carmen Sanchez (Roy), Mela Gygox (David), Juanita Atencio (Richard), and Charlene Lujan (John); 5 grandchildren, Janice Madrid (Liz), Jamie Madrid, Crystal Madrid(Alex), Joseph Madrid, and Andrea Marsh (Gilly); 9 great-grandchildren; 1 Goddaughter, 2 special pets; Star and Scooter and many other relatives and special friend Frances Madrid;  friends that care and loved her.

Isabel was a devoted Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend who was loved dearly. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, regular puzzles, crocheting, watching tennis among various other sports (Spurs Fan), and ordering special gifts from QVC. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her exceptional cooking, and her loving and giving nature. She will be missed dearly.

Rosary and Mass Services on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 starting at 10.00 am located at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124

Burial will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 3:00pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following pallbearers; Joseph William Madrid, Ernie Salazar Jr., Roy Sanchez Jr., Fabian Salazar, Richard Adam Atencio, and Jaydn Martinez. Honorary pallbearers; Bengie Salazar, Little David Lujan, Nicholas Salazar, Tomas Montoya, and Adan Montoya.
