Age 76, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016. He was born in Geneva, NE on January 26, 1940, to Walter James and Myrtis Maxine (Myers) Stauffer. He graduated from Bonneville High School and worked for Vulcan Material Co. for 25 years he was also a devoted member of the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice (Kay Abegglen) Stauffer. James is survived by wife of 23 years, Bernie (Castillo) Stauffer; brother, Jerry LeRoy Stauffer; sister, Judy Ann (Stauffer) and her husband Thomas M. Dodds; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family members. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 6:00pm to 7:000pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Rd. Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church at 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW Albuquerque, NM 87114.  Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park at 4310 Sara Rd.
