Jesus “Jesse” Fierro

Age 71, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Alpine, TX on August 30, 1946, to Jose and  Mary Fierro. He served in the army for 2 years and was decorated with NSDM and the SPS Qual Badge. Jesse worked for the Albuquerque VA Medical Center for 35 years as both a supervisory medical technologist and industrial hygienist. He was also known as a valued teacher in the Allied Health field at CNM. Jesse was a devoted and loving husband, a kind and gentle soul who had a passion for teaching and soccer. Jesse thoroughly enjoyed being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life lessons will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Fierro; mother, Mary Fierro and sisters, Gloria Candelaria and Anita Duran.

Jesse is survived by loving wife, Barbara Fierro of Albuquerque, NM; children, David Fierro with wife Erin and Jennifer Fierro with husband Jason Ure, grandchildren; Ella Fierro, Karter Fierro, Selena Fierro, and Francisco Garcia; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Garcia, Leah Garcia, and Mateo Jesse Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews, and his pet Precious.

Rosary will be held July 26th at 6:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd 87109, with reception to follow.   

Services will be held July 27th at 10:30 am at Sangre de Cristo Church.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery . Pallbearers will be David Fierro, Jason Ure, Eric Giron, Francisco Garcia, Devin Giron, and Jose Duran.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Presbyterian Palutive hospice care, the staff at Presbyterian Rust Cancer Unit, and Dr. Amin Aledina with the New Mexico Cancer Center.
