Joe G. Chee, 67, of Kirtland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 22, 2009, after a lengthy journey in this world. Joe was only with us for 67 years, born to Akenabah Chee of Hunter's Point, AZ and Ben Clyde of Houck, AZ on October 15, 1941. His maternal clan is Tabaaha, the Water Edge clan. His paternal clan is Tachii nii, the Red Streak into the Water clan. Joe met and married Jeannie Lee, his life-long companion and wife of 45 years while attending school in Chicago, IL, in 1963. Together they had three children, Lorinda, Joseph, and Anthony. He was saddened when his son, Joseph, passed away in 1991, of cancer. In his youth, he loved the outdoors, his home in Hunter's Point, AZ. He especially treasured his brothers and sisters and made many memories that he shared with his grandchildren every day. Joe specialized and mastered auto body repair, auto painting and auto mechanics. Due to his long illness, he was forced to retire early but always had advice for his family and friends. His work brought him from Chicago across the country and back to the Four Corners area. His family was always a big part of his life, his wife, children, son-in-law, Fred Peter and especially his grandchildren, Tayliah, Danner, Keioshiah, Jennica, MaRiah, and Sequoia. His sisters, Sheila Lincoln, Jean Wilson, Anna Clyde, Emma Francis, Grace Thompson, Mary Tsosie and brothers, Joe Clyde, Sr., Phillip Clyde, Dean Clyde, Dan Yazzie, Joe Chischilly of Coal Mine, NM and Joe Chischilly of Navajo, NM. Pallbearers will be Fred Peter, Benjimin Lee, Jr., Randolph Sammons, Joe Clyde, Sr. and Joe Clyde, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence Sammons, Sr., Jason Sammons and Lawrence Sammons, Jr. Joe is in the care of
