June J. Padilla

June J. Padilla (Denney), 77, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, February 9th, 2021. She was born June 14th, 1943 in Socorro, NM to Joseph August Denney, and Maria Ascension (Montoya) Turrietta. June devoted herself to being a caring loving wife, mother and homemaker, compassionate with a great sense of humor, devoted catholic and believing nothing was more important than family. June was preceded in death by her cherished and beloved husband Albert C. Padilla of Socorro; her younger sisters, Kathy Blanco and Linda Turrietta, nieces, Kristi Hernandez and Jolene Gutierrez, and nephew, JR Turrietta all from Socorro NM and Robert Armijo of Albuquerque NM. She was an amazing wife, mother, and the most amazing loving and doting grandmother and great grandmother (they all called NANNY), beloved daughter, aunt, sister, sister-in-law as well as godmother and friend to many. June is survived by her beloved son, Carl A. Padilla and wife, Billie Jo of Los Lunas, NM; beloved daughter, Tammy A. Benavidez of Socorro; grandchildren: Justin Padilla, Jordan Padilla and wife Celina; Kendra, Amberli Benavidez; great grandchildren: (which she fondly kidded she loved more than her own children) Elijah Jude and Tessa Tamari Marshall, Jayla, Eric Jr, and Zayie Garcia of Socorro, Harmony, Carlie, and Ashe Padilla of Albuquerque NM. Brothers; Joe Raymond (Joe) and Jamie Turrietta, and sisters; Peggy Leyba, Sylvia Gamez of Socorro, and Rosemary Armijo of Albuquerque NM. Along with numerous loving nieces and nephews, cousins and godchildren. June was a very giving, loving and caring person who would help anyone in need, and was deeply saddened with the loss of her husband Albert C. Padilla of 56 years, a day never passed in which he wasn’t remembered. Following health guidelines, a walk-through visitation will be held on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Home, Socorro NM.  A funeral procession after the families last viewing will proceed to Lemitar, NM Cemetery where a Rosary will be recited followed by the Catholic committal. Pallbearers are Justin Padilla, Jordan Padilla, Amberli Benavidez, Jamie Turrietta, Albert Gutierrez and Eric Garcia.  Honorary Pallbearers are Elijah and Tessa Marshall, Jayla, Eric Jr., and Zaylie Garcia, Harmony, Carlie, and Ashe Padilla. We will miss you and your kindness and generosity. You were always a loving and caring wife, mother, doting grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Your generosity, compassion and care for others has completed your journey here on earth. May you rest peacefully in heaven with our Lord and other beloved family members who have preceded you.
