Age 85, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, September 12, 2016.
A longtime resident of Rio Rancho, Robert was born in Flushing, NY on August 11, 1931. He attended New York University in 1949 and was a member of the United States Naval Reserve during the Korean War. He joined the NYC Police Dept. in 1954 and eventually became a detective in the homicide division before he retired. He was also a member of the Masonic Order in NYC and became Master of his lodge in 1962.  Robert is survived by wife, Virginia Sayler; son, Robert Sayler (Michelle); daughters, Linda Infantino (Anthony) and Leigh Anne Velletta (Michael); 6 grandchildren, Jessica Trumble (Jeremy), Robert Sayler, Jennifer Velletta, Andrea Infantino, Michael Velletta and Brianna Sayler. Visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2016, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm with services to immediately follow at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel. Entombment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park at 4310 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, NM 87124. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Robert's honor to Shriners Hospital for Children www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
