Shirley M Ross

Shirley M. Ross, age 80, of Rio Rancho passed away Thursday, September 24th, 2020. She was born August 18th, 1940 to Richard and Jennie Scott of Sheep Springs, NM.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jennie Scott, former late spouse, Richard Parker; spouse, Gerald H. Ross; Siblings, Tony Scott; Bennie Scott; Rose Chischilly; Aunt, Esther Denetclaw; and grandson, Quinn Butler.

Shirley is survived by daughters, Tyane Parker; Christine Ross; Victoria Ross; stepsons, Steve Ross and wife, Peggy Ross; Tom Ross and wife, Jane Ross; Gregory Ross; Grandchildren, Anissa Ross; Alexus Chavez; Alyssa Vivian; Jaiden Quintana; Crystal Ross; and David Ross. Great grandchildren, Isiaiah Butler; Aniah Miera; Novy Anderson; Elena Anderson; Liana Estillore; Patricia Ross; Manuel Martinez; Legend Martinez; and Piper Ross; As well as many additional beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a genuine soul who continuously love to laugh, joke and always had a smile no matter what the circumstances. Shirley was great at making everyone feel welcomed and made sure to feed anyone when they stopped to visit. Her funny stories and jokes constantly made others laugh. Shirley enjoyed the casino, pow-wows, feast days, puzzles, laughing, silver coin margaritas, and the restaurant Sadie’s. Shirley’s genuine heart and soul will be dearly missed, and her absence has left her loved ones with a forever hole in their hearts.

In celebration of Shirley’s life, a viewing will be held on Thursday October 1st at 5-7pm. The services will start at 11 AM on Friday October 2nd, 2020 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, located at: 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho NM  87124. There will be a reception to celebrate Shirley’s life immediately following services, location to be announced.
