Burrell, Susan Eileen was born January 29th 1948 in Houston TX to Jessie and Clara Alvey, she passed away July 15, 2017 in Rio Rancho, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Bob. She is survived by her daughter Melanie Feldkamp and husband David, and daughter Melissa Hauke. Her sister Arleita Allen and husband Clayton, brother Jessie Jr. Alvey and wife Jasmine, and sister Kathy Scussel and husband John. Grandchildren Marcia Feldkamp, David Feldkamp and wife Ceilidh, Mary Coleman and husband Justin, Eric Gordon, Jimmy Carroll, Amanda Kadleck and husband Garrett, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Sue had a great love of horses and enjoyed many years of being a 4-H and drill team leader. She was president of the NM Barrel Racing Assoc. for a time and was a fierce competitor. She also enjoyed team penning with friends and husband Bob. She was an accomplished seamstress, making beautiful dresses for her two young daughters and later on their prom dresses. She also made dolls, dolls clothes and quilts for her kids and grandkids, we will always cherish our "Granny Sue". Sue was not far from her husband Bob's side during their 45 years together, she did bookkeeping for their construction company and years later helped on their alfalfa farm. May she rest in peace, enjoying the never ending open trail with Bob. A Gathering will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 3:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Rd Chapel.
