Abel Salaz Jr.

SALAZ - Abel Salaz, Jr., age 88, beloved and devoted father and grandfather, was called to his heavenly home by the Lord, Friday, December 3, 2010. He was a life long resident of Cuba, NM. Abel was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Abel was a man who genuinely loved people, he had a way of making everyone feel special, and was well loved by all in return. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eufelia Salaz; daughter, Marcelina Clayton; his parents, Abel, Sr. and Celestina Salaz; and all his siblings. Abel is survived by his loving children, Camilla Ramsey and husband Charles, Reynaldo Salaz and Marie, and Naomi Salaz-Jaramillo and husband Anthony; son-in-law, Louis Clayton; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members. Abel will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Alameda Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, and again on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. also at the Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Concpetion Church. Interment will follow at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Jason Ramsey, Shane Clayton, Marcos Salaz, Eli Salaz, Josiah Salaz and Brian Salaz. Honorary Bearers will be Nanna Rae Salaz, Monique Gallegos, Anita Salaz, Toni Jaramillo, Tineesha Salaz, Melquiades Salaz, Mickey Herrera, Mariano Salaz, Ryan Molina and John Martinez.
