Adela S Lopez

LOPEZ - Adela S 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born May 8, 1917 to Gabriel and Plajeres (Luna) Silva, in Socorro, NM. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Herman Lopez, her daughter, Helen Lopez, son, Damacio (Jr.) Lopez, her sisters, Masie Ramon and Vicki Gonzales, and her brothers, George Silva, Nick Silva, and Pete Silva, her daughter in law Lila Lopez, and her brother in law, Johnny Gallegos. Adela is survived by her loving sons, Olivio Lopez, Steve Lopez, Eddie Lopez, and David Lopez (Irene), her devoted daughters,Carmen Valenzuela (Ted), Patsy Zamora (Raymond) and Sally Moreno (Pete), many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her brothers, Mike Silva (Rosemary), Ernie Silva (Jenny), her sisters, Amelia Gallegos, Betty Sarate (Stanley), and Cecilia Zamora (Candy). Adela was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She enjoyed making arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting and was especially talented with beadwork. Adela enjoyed spending time with her family. AVisitation will take place Monday, November 28, 2011, from 9:00 am-10:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel. A Rosary will be recited also on Monday, November 28, 2011, at 10:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel with a Memorial Celebration following at 10:30 am with Deacon Mike Ybarra officiating. Interment will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following services. Pallbearers will be Michael Arvizu, Leroy Lopez, Patrick Zamora, Andrew Zamora, Christopher Lopez, and Sammy Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Lopez, Anthony Lukesh, Joseph Arvizu, Carl Lukesh, Danny Valenzuela, and Ronnie Lopez.
