Adelina Valencia, 86, of Blanco, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, in Blanco. She was born Dec. 11, 1924, in Blanco to Juan Pasqual and Francisquita Jacques Valencia. Adelina lived at home with her parents in Blanco until they died. In 1972, she went to live in Algodones, with her brother, Seledonio and wife, Orie Valencia. She adjusted to her new surroundings and five kids. In 1984, the family moved back to Blanco. Adelina was home again. Adelina enjoyed being outdoors. She loved gardening and worked hard at it. Adelina was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Pasqual and Francisquita Jacquez Valencia; brothers, Alfonso, Thomas Moises, Filiberto, and Seledonio Valencia; and sister, Vangie Trujillo. She is survived by her brother, Richard and wife Edwina Valencia and sister, Mary Chavez. The Rev. Robert Mathieu will be the celebrant. A reception will follow after burial at the St. Rose Parish Hall. Pallbearers are Joseph Valencia, Martin Valencia, Ralph Valencia, Chris Valencia, Orry Valencia and Anthony Valencia.
