Adelma "Delma" Marshall

Marshall, Adelma â??Delmaâ?쳌Age 57, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 after waging a courageous battle against Diabetes and its complications for more than a year. At the time of her death she was surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on September 26, 1955 to Rafela and Alfonso Ware in Socorro, NM. Delma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Delma was a kind, generous and caring person who had a wonderful sense of humor. She was also a woman of faith who trusted in her God during times of sorrow and tribulation. Delma was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Joe Louis Ware, Robert Ware and sister Dorothy Parker. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years Johnnie Lee Marshall of Albuquerque, daughters Roberta Marshall and companion Marcus Hill of Albuquerque, daughter Symphony of Socorro, and son Robert Townsend and friend Jeanette Sanchez of Socorro. Delma also leaves behind four sisters, Pauline Vergara, JoAnne McCutcheon, and Mary (Peach) Gorton and husband Michael all of Socorro, and sister Lena O&Keefe of Truth or Consequences. Also surviving her are three brothers, Valentine Saavedra and wife Cecelia, David Ware and wife Lucinda and Mike Ware also of Socorro. Delma&s pride and joy were her beloved grandchildren and she loved and nurtured them all. Her grandchildren include Ja&Kwon, Taejhuan, Traevion, and J&Veon Hill of Albuquerque, Asia and Ravein Townsend of Socorro and Robert Denim Townsend of NC. Two great grandchildren Harmony Crane and Julio Peguero of Socorro. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She leaves her friends and family with many happy memories and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 beginning at 9:00 am with a service to be held at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 203 Spring Street, Socorro, NM.
