Agapita Maria Lopez

Lopez, Agapita Maria Age 81, beloved and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was born in Vallecitos, NM, and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Agapita enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, dancing, fishing and horseback riding when she was younger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolpho and Ramoncita Martinez; her husband, Louis Lopez; sons, Phillip and Julian Lopez; and daughter-in-law, Yolanda Lopez. Agapita is survived by her loving sons, Jesse and wife Ruth, Jerry and wife Sylvia, Patrick Lee and wife Dorothy, Richard, and Raymond and wife Darla; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her nieces, Claudia Giron, Betty Martinez, Vivian Covert and husband Wayne; nephews, Joe Gurule and wife Theresa, Eleve Gurule and wife Eva, Ross Gurule and wife Marge; sister-in-law, Emma Lopez. Agapita will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final Viewing will be Monday, November 28, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. also in the Chapel. Service of Christian Burial will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pall Bearers will be Christopher Lopez, Isaiah Lopez, Eric Lopez, Alfonso Cordova, Gabriel Rael and Arthur Lopez. Agapita's care has been entrusted to:
