Agapita Sedillo

Agapita Sedillo, affectionately known as "Pita," was born on August 22, 1938, in Glorieta, New Mexico to Anastacio Lucero and Monica Roybal Lucero. She peacefully passed away on August 27,2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Pita was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her living family, including her devoted daughter, Doris Sedillo-Luna; her caring brother, Charlie Lucero; her granddaughter, Bernice Carrillo; her great-granddaughter, Angelica Carrillo, along with her great grandsons, Enrique Carrillo and Carlos Cruz Carrillo.

She joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Cruz A. Sedillo, whose presence in her life provided joy and comfort. Pita is also reunited with her parents, Anastacio Lucero Sr. and Monica Roybal Lucero, along with her two sisters and three brothers who have all gone before her.

Agapita and Cruz loved to travel and while traveling they loved visiting their family from all over, on their traveling "adventures" they would visit many of their nieces and nephews. Part of those travels included spending time visiting their daughter Doris; granddaughter Bernice and their 3 great grandchildren Enrique, Angelica, and Carlos AKA "Frankie Cruz".

She was a devoted catholic and was a member of the Holy Family Parish; along with her love of God, family and travel she loved and enjoyed spending time with her husband Cruz going out to their favorite restaurants such as Garcia's Kitchen and Barelas Coffee House and if they weren't out traveling you would find them spending time at the flea markets. She was also a huge baseball fan and was always up for a baseball game with the family.

A service to honor Pita's life will be held on September 23, 2024, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel, located at 7601 Wyoming Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87109. The services will begin at 10:30 AM with a reception to follow right after the services.
