Baca, Aguinaldo "Aggie"
Aguinaldo Baca was born in Socorro, NM on April 11, 1927, to Hermelindo and Magdalena (Valenzuela) Baca and died on Friday, November 4, 2016, a few hundred yards from his birthplace. After graduating as valedictorian at Socorro High, he became a licensed contractor and skilled carpenter. In 1948 he established, operated and owned the New Mexico Woodworks for the rest of his life. He was an avid sportsman, hunter, and elder of the Presbyterian Church. Aggie is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Ruth Hodgin Baca; his sons and their wives, Ted (Jan) and Jack (Helen); eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; his sisters, Prescilla, Evangeline, and Betty (Jacinto); and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Enedine; and five brothers and one sister. A worship service of Witness to the Resurrection and celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro.
