Aida Bertha Palomera “Tiita”

April 8, 1918 – September 2, 2019 (AGE 101)

Our beloved great aunt “Tiita”, aged 101, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved on Monday, September 2, 2019 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in La Paz, Bolivia on April 8, 1918, to Santos Rojas and Andrea Rubin de Celis. She is survived by her grandnephew Marco Cervantes, who took care of her until her death, his wife Caroline, and their children, Sean, Nicholas, and Abigail; her niece Maria Holmberg and her children Nevin and Eric Holmberg; and extended family in Bolivia.

She obtained her advanced nursing degree in public health at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH in 1949. She worked as a school nurse and public health nurse for the state of New Mexico for 30 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday September 13, 2019 at  Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd., SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
