Cupp, Al'Louise S "Tiny"
Age 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Polidori House in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born in Willow, OK on May 1, 1918, to Lon and Mary London Singley. She graduated from Mangum High School in 1937. Tiny played piano for the Methodist Church in Mangum. As a young woman, she worked in Oklahoma as a bookkeeper for both the local lumber yard and in one of the military factories. Later, she became a substitute teacher and assistant librarian for the Socorro Consolidated Schools in Socorro, NM, a job she dearly loved. Tiny enjoyed baking, sewing, crafts and traveling. She later learned to trout fish and kept her husband, Neal, busy baiting her hook and taking her catch off the line. Neal agreed if she learned to fish, he would do both for her, a promise her may have regretted later. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal Cupp; her sisters, Cleo Martin, Myrtice Hamilton, Frances (Sulzen) Wells, and Margaret Moss. Tiny is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Hightower and husband, Jimmy; her son, Lonny Cupp and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Jeff (Lavonne) Hightower, Micheal Hightower, Robert (Rebecca) Cupp, Reba (Derek) Boyd; her great grandchildren, Melody Hightower, Garrett Hightower, Trinity Boyd, Cody Boyd, Neal Cupp and Bella Hightower. Tiny is lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a multitude of friends. Services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, 10:30 am, at First Baptist Church Socorro , 203 Spring Street, Socorro with Pastor Phillip Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Socorro Cemetery. A reception will take place a the First Baptist Church immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be Roy Hensley, Dennis Harris Jr., Bill Piccinini, David Jennings, Bill Bailey and Don Tripp. Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Perry, James Jennings, Harold McGee, Joe Chavez, Sam Smouse and Larry Van Landingham. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Tiny's honor to the Socorro Senior Center or the First Baptist Church in Socorro.
