Alan Cutler Anway

November 10, 1928 — September 3, 2023

Alan Cutler Anway, aka Bud Anway was born Nov.10, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minn.

He passed away peacefully at Beehive Assisted living in Albuquerque, NM on Sept. 3, 2023.

He was 94.

True to his nickname, “Bud”, his life was a flowering of color, productivity, gentleness, kindness, service, music and love.

He loved his beloved wife, Irene for over 70 years. They met roller skating in Minneapolis when he was just a lad of 16. He sometimes called her “Reenie baby” and used to say they were “one flesh”. He spent his last 5 years without her. She passed away in April of 2018.

Together, he and Irene put their hearts and souls into the lives of Wayne, Cheryl, Randy, Dale and Paul. They shared the tragic loss of Dale when Dale was only 5 years old.

He enjoyed a fruitful career in Electrical Engineering.

He loved God, served faithfully and was a pillar in the various churches he and Irene were members of.

He loved classical music, the outdoors, and could fix anything.

He was smart, funny, one of the kindest people on earth, generous, industrious, wise, truthful, more humble than was called for and good looking.

He is leaving behind a family that loves each other, enjoys each other and takes care of each other, who will miss him dearly, and that have hearts full of love and gratitude for he and his beloved Irene.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11am at Daniels Family Funeral Services located at 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, 87110. With a Burial to follow at Fairview Memerial Park.
