Alan Joseph Pranckevicus

Pranckevicus, Al J. Age 67, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, godfather and friend, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Al was born on August 16, 1945 to Seonas and Helen (Reseska) Pranckevicus of Brooklyn, NY. He served our country in the United States Army. He had recently earned his 30-year pin with the United States Postal Service where he was a mail handler. Mr. Pranckevicus loved electronics trade shows, horse racing, and was a fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL Fantasy Football League. Most importantly, he was absolutely devoted to his family and grandsons. Mr. Pranckevicus is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlene (Tsikteris) Pranckevicus, of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Laurie C. Pranckevicus and Michael A. Pranckevicus and his wife, Jill, of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Jayden and Jacob Pranckevicus of Rio Rancho, NM; siblings, Rosemary Hogan of Hollis, NY and Anthony Pranckevicus of Centereach, NY; sister-in-law, Charlene Zukowski; several nieces and nephews; godchildren, Kristie Malkasian, Laura Molina, Andrew Malizia, and Michael Hogan; and best friend since childhood, Dan Malkasian. A Viewing and Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho.
