Albert J. Billingham

BILLINGHAM- Maj. Ret. USAF, Albert (Al) J. Billingham, passed away in Albuquerque, Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was born in Norwood, MA on March 10, 1925 to Anna and Arthur Billingham. He was preceded in death by his grandson, John Hon; brothers, Arthur and Warren Billingham; and sister, Jane Shirley. Surviviors include his wife Dagny; his children, Elsa Billingham of Anchorage, AK, Jim Billingham and wife Jeannine of Albuquerque, and Leslie McClearey and husband Rick of Savannah, MO; his grandchildren, Faith and James Billingham; sister, Florence Chubet and husband Eddie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Al was an Air Force Pilot, seeing action in World War II, as well as Viet Nam. He retired from the Air Force in 1969, and worked as a factory representative for Clark Brothers Bolt Co. in Connecticut for ten years. He was an avid golfer. Cremation has taken place.
