Albert "Bud" George McAdams Jr.

Albert "Bud" George McAdams, Jr., age 91, passed away on November 18, 2019.  Bud was born on November 2, 1928 in McCamey, TX.  He was a decorated veteran, serving in the US Army, during the Korean War.  While serving in the war, he was awarded the Bronze Star with "V" for valor for outstanding courage and heroism during ground combat.  He was also awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded during combat.

Bud married Betty Ann Hahn on December 19, 1952 in Alpine, TX. Bud and Betty have lived in Belen, NM for the past 15 years. He was preceded in death by his son Albert (Buster) George McAdams, III and survived by his wife Betty, their three daughters - Mary Huttanus of Artesia, NM (married to Steve Huttanus), Cynthia White of Albuquerque, NM (married to David White), and Doris Jump of Medicine Mound, TX (married to Rick Jump); eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Their grandchildren are Erin White-Canales, Carl Neie, Kyna Seale, Kimberly Cridge, Colter Neie, Matthew White, Joseph (Buddy) Huttanus, and Justin McAdams. 

Bud's family describes him as being one of the toughest cowboys around, while also being a loving father and husband.  He was funny and loved to kid around.  He was quiet but wise, a man whose word was his bond, who loved his family, held is horses as his loved ones, and was a cowboy's cowboy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at the Daniels Family Funeral Home Chapel in Socorro, NM on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 am.  Interment will occur at the Magdalena Cemetery.
