Albert H. Potter Jr., 66, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Raymond G Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. He was born on August 19, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY to Albert Sr. and Anna (Kirksey) Potter. Albert grew up in Brooklyn. He graduated from Our Lady of Victory in Brooklyn, NY in 1960. After high school he: � joined the United States Air Force and served for 23 years. He served in vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1987, achieving the rank of TSGT. � began work for University of New Mexico Hospital as an anesthesiologist where he worked for 7 years. � after UNMH, he work for Raymond G Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque as an anesthesiologist where he worked for 9 years. He retired in 2004. Albert married Virginia in 1976 in Albuquerque, NM. They were happily married for 38 years. He enjoyed flying model airplanes, golfing, especially fly fishing. Albert is survived by his spouse Virginia of Albuquerque, NM; his daughters: Denise Martin of North Carolina; Cassandra Shannon (Carl) of Virginia; Christina Potter of Florida; Jacque Ferguson (Demetrius) of Texas; his son, Christopher Potter (Adriana) of Virginia; his sister Jacquelyn Potter, his brother Archie Potter of New York; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services � Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
