Albinita Lucero was Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was one of twelve children born to Guadalupe and Rita Armijo (later Rita Garcia), she is preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister: Frank, Waldo, Tony, Clyde, Jimmy, Cipy, David Armijo, Dora Gurule and step-father, Sam Garcia. She is survived by two sisters and one brother: Chonita Lucero, Lydia Santillanes and Ernest Armijo; her daughter and son- in-law, Rita and John Feik of San Antonio Texas; her son and daughter-in law, Bobby and Cindy Lucero of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren, Craig Lucero, Jonathan Rougeot, Brian and June Lucero, Adam Lucero, JJ and Tracie Feik, Amy and Mark Garcia, Heather and Jeff De Rojas, Ashley and Britt Campbell, Andy and Alysia Thiessen; four great grandchildren, Andi and Madison Feik, Olivia and Josh Garcia; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
“Nita,” as she was fondly referred to, raised her two children as a single parent alongside the encouragement and support of her family. She managed to see that her children learned the Baltimore catechism and later enjoyed a catholic education by sending them to attend parochial school. Through hard work and sacrifice she lived with dignity and bought a home, where she resided until she moved to Texas where thru the care of her daughter and son in-law she   enjoyed her golden years near her son and grandchildren When she was in her 50s, Nita realized a life time goal and completed her education earning her GED.  She also worked the voting polls during state and national elections.
Nita spent her golden years as a Texan and resident of San Antonio.  She has returned to her beloved New Mexico where she will be laid to rest at Vista Verde to await the Resurrection of the Righteous on January 6, 2017 at 10:00am. Followed by a brunch at the Nativity Parish Hall. A Rosary will take place at Nativity at 9502 4th St NW Albuquerque, NM 87114 on January 5, 2017 at 7:00pm.
