Arviso died June 5, 2011, in Crystal. He was born Jan. 3, 1974, in Fort Defiance, into the One Who Walks Around People Clan for the Towering House People Clan. Arviso graduated from Window Rock High in 1992 and attended Navajo Community College. He worked from the Navajo Nation for over 15 years. He always offered help to family and friends. While spending time with family and friends, his wry sense of humor was welcomed. Arviso enjoyed taking care of his horse, horseback riding and traveling, especially to visit his younger brother in Phoenix. He also worked with the Navajo Nation Labor Commission, Office of Ethics and Rules, Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, Office of President/Vice President-Political Appointee, Division of Human Resources-Administration, Department of Personnel Management, Office of Backgrounds Investigations, Department of Child Support Enforcement, Office of Broadcast Services, Design and Engineering Services, Navajo Health Education Program, Navajo Special Diabetes Project, Navajo School Clothing Program, Insurance Services Dept./Worker’s Compensation Program, Division of Social Services-Executive Office, Spherion Staffing Solution Services Inc. in Albuquerque, JC Penney Company in Albuquerque. Survivors include his parents, Carol Arviso-Begay, Michael Begay Sr.; brother, Michael Begay Jr. Arviso was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mary Arviso.
