Alejandro Oscar Soto

SOTO - Alejandro Oscar Soto, 83, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Socorro, NM surrounded by his loving family. Oscar was born on May 23, 1927 in Tokay, NM to Genaro and Angela (Quintero)Soto. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Mary (Lucero) Soto; his loving children, Arleen (Soto) Valles and husband Randy; and Michael Oscar Soto; his caring grandchildren, Jason Valles; Amy Valles; Emilee Soto; and Alexandra Soto; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Oscar was retired from the New Mexico Highway Department after 20 years of dutiful service and an avid golfer. He was a member of San Miguel Catholic Church. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers, and two sisters. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at The San Miguel Catholic Church at 8:30 am. A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated also on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at The San Miguel Catholic Church at 9:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 am.
