Alex Jaramillo

Alex Jaramillo, age 88 of Albuquerque went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 16, 2014. He is survived by his son Daniel Jaramillo and wife Jeanette; daughter Erlinda Mier and husband Richard; brother Eroy Jaramillo; Three granddaughters, Denise Barajas and husband Paul, Anna Paiz and husband Anthony, Leticia Melendez and husband Isaac; six great-grandsons, Phillip and Ryan Barajas, Joshua and Gabriel Paiz, Isaac Jr. and Emilio Melendez; life partner Mary Jojola; and many family and friends, who love him. Alex was preceded in death by his wife Grace Jaramillo; brothers, Tranquillino and Juan Jaramillo; sisters, Flora Cardenas, Lydia Jaramillo, and Mela J. Gonzales. Alex served in the US Army and was in Germany during WWII. He enjoyed going to the senior center to dance, playing bingo and slot machines. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 9502 4th St NW, where Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery immediately following. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, great-grandsons, and godson Michael Gonzalez.
