Funeral services for Alexander Etsitty, 42, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Chinle. Hanson Smith will officiate. Burial will be in family cemetery, Spider Rock. Etsitty died Dec. 14, 2010, in Chinle. He was born May 28, 1968, in Fort Defiance, into the Red Running Into the Water Peopple Clan for the Big Water People Clan. Etsitty had his Associate of ARts in Elementary Education. His hobbies included hiking, biking, basketball, cooking and traveling. Survivors include his parents, Madeline Etsitty, Francis Etsitty; brother, Quincy Natay, Matthew Etsitty, Ricky Etsitty; sisters, Trina Natay, Shanusan Natay, Susan Clauschee, Annette Greene, Emma Jean Etsitty, Peggy Etsitty. Etsitty was preceded in death by Ciny Natay-Curley, Steven Etsitty. Pallbearers will be Quincy Natay, Beau Natay, Nathaniel Toadlena, Jerimiah Ashley, George Hartsock, Matthew Etsitty. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Chindle Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, following services.
