Alfredo H. Villalobos

Alfredo “Fred” H. Villalobos died unexpectedly at home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on November 10th, 2021 at the age of 45.

Alfredo is survived by his parents Tonita Smith and Bill Smith of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, by best friend Gin Thomas of Rio Rancho, NM, by Nana Liz Thomas of Rio Rancho, NM, by Sister Judy O’Cana of Carlsbad, NM, by brother Robert O’Cana of Rio Rancho, NM, by sister Connie O’Cana of Monte Vista, Colorado, and by sister Erica Ohmit of Hamilton, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces all over The United States. Fred is also survived by his beloved dog Nonny. Alfredo is preceded in death by his grandparents Juan and Estrella Baca, by tia Maria Vigil, his tio Nick Baca, his grandfather James Thomas, cousin Jamie Thomas, and uncle Billy Thomas.

Fred was born November 6th, 1976 to mother Tonita in Denver, Colorado. He attended Rio Rancho High School and graduated in the year 1999. Fred’s special interests included cross country skiing, traveling, shopping, going to Laughlin, Nevada, music and dancing. He was a part of Rio Rancho Host Lions and was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Fred was a wonderful prankster. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a wonderful laugh, that will be greatly missed. Fred loved his family and he loved going to visit them. Fred loved to travel by car. He has gone to Utah, North Carolina, California, Ohio, Florida. His favorite place to go was Laughlin, Nevada, his home away from home. He would go twice a year before Covid.

Fred will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Terrance Reagan, Alianza Family Services, and Jayanna Warwick; thank you for being there for Fred, all the support and help. They would also like to thank all of Alfredo’s family and friends who sent cards and offered Masses in Fred’s name. Thank you, family and friends, for all your support.  

A Rosary will be held for Alfredo on Saturday December 11th, 2021 at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Sara Chapel beginning at 10:00AM. A Mass will follow directly after the Rosary. Burial will follow the Mass in Vista Verde Memorial Park. A Reception will take place directly after the burial, at Fred’s home located at 1627 Plum Rd. in Rio Rancho, NM.
