Alice Pioche

Alice Pioche, 91, of Upper Fruitland, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 in Upper Fruitland. She was born November 30, 1917 in Carson, New Mexico to John and Hazel Gus. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Pioche, her parents, John & Hazel Gus; brothers, Sam G. Begay, Harry Gus, James Gus, Sr.; daughter, Baby Girl Pioche; and Great Grandson Deric Nathan Yazzie. She is survived by sons, Charlie Pioche, Ben Pioche, Shandie Pioche, Sr., daughters, Anna Pioche Morgan, Bessie P. Barney, Sarah Pioche Nakai, Pauline Pioche Begay and Helen P. Waddoups. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 4 great, great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Samer Pioche, Brain Pioche, Shandie Pioche, Jr., Brando Nakai, Nathaniel L. Yazzie and Joseph J. Begay, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be the family of the late Sam Pioche. Alice is in the care of: Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home 103 E.
