SANCHEZ- Alice M. Sanchez (Quinn), 76, died Monday, November 17, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Parkridge, Illinois to James V. Quinn and Alice Bilodeau Quinn, on January 1, 1932. In 1948, her family, including brothers Gerald Quinn, James Quinn, Jr., sisters, Sister Alice Marie Quinn, D.C., and Bridget Johnson, moved to Santa Rosa, New Mexico for health reasons. Alice graduated form Resurrection High School in Chicago, Illinois, in 1949. She married Joseph A. Sanchez on May 1, 1950 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Alice is survived by her husband Joseph A. Sanchez, her sons, Joseph A. Sanchez, Jr., and wife Cindy, James P. Sanchez, and wife Debbie, and Jeffery C. Sanchez and wife Kathy; daughters, Jeannette Marie (Sanchez) Smith and husband Steve, Joyce Kathleen Sanchez and husband Jim Bentley, Julianne (Sanchez) Warrington, and her loving brothers' and sisters' in-law. Alice and Joseph moved their family to Albuquerque in 1953 from Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Alice was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Company for twenty years. After her retirement Alice was involved in the Quota Club of Albuquerque, The Doll and Artisan Guild, and a member of Fr. Paul Baca's Community At Prayer. She loved to make porcelain dolls, crochet and knit. After retirement she attended UNM, studying psychology. Alice loved to travel worldwide with her husband Joe and particularly loved traveling in the country of Ireland. Alice is survived by ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gerald Quinn and her granddaughter Jessica Sanchez. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She has many close friends, especially at the Community At Prayer. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services have been entrusted to:
