Allen R. Gelinas MD

Allen R. Gelinas MD passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 21, 2021 at the age of 83.

Allen is survived by his sons, Michael Gelinas MD of Minocqua, Wisconsin; Claude Gelinas MD of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Marc Gelinas of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Joel Gelinas PA of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and 14 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Gelinas.

Allen was born on June 27, 1937 in Stettler Alberta, Canada. He graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Medicine in 1960 with a degree in Doctor in Medicine. He married Theresa Pierrette Gelinas in Ottowa, Ontario Canada for 55 beautiful years. He worked at Private Medical Practices at various locations for 40 years. One of his hobbies was collecting historical chess boards. He was an active and dedicated member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

A funeral is scheduled for 10:30am on February 20, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church – 1502 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
