Alma Gower

Gower, Alma 91-year young �Rusty� Alma Gower passed away on July 22nd, 2013. He was born May 24, 1922 in El Paso, Texas. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Helen Jane Gower-Lee, and 2 sons, William and Thomas Gower. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Gower, son, David Gower and his wife Carol, from Arizona, and his son, Jim Gower, from Jemez Springs. 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren are the rewards of his lifelong marriage to Mildred. He enjoyed riding his 3-wheeled Harley Davidson to his favorite golf course. Through the years, Rusty accumulated 5 holes in one and countless trophies. He was a WWII veteran in the South Pacific. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Services on Friday July 26th to celebrate Rusty�s life are being conducted at Daniels funeral home at 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Viewing begins at 9:00 a.m., services at 10:00 a.m.; followed by internment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
