Dalton, Alvina Age 92, peacefully passed away Friday morning, August 24, 2012. She long survived on laughter and love and spending time with her family. Born in Bisbee, AZ on July 8, 1920 she lived there with her family and in 1938 married Hugo Torres Sr. She and Hugo had three children and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1941. After the passing of her husband in 1967 she remarried to Donald Dalton. Alvina was a stay at home mom, she loved nothing more than caring for her husbands and children; gossiping on the porch and going out to dinner. She was a strong woman with a strong heart and never went a day without make-up or her hair just so. Her memories will live on through her children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her laughter and feisty personality will be greatly missed and forever cherished. She is preceded in death by her first and second husbands and her youngest son, Arnold Torres. She is survived by her children Hugo Torres Jr.; Theresa Garcia and husband Larry; grandchildren, David Torres and wife Rima, Tracie Stude Welch and husband Eddie, Lawrence Garcia, Terri Hanoumis and husband Greg, Steve Garcia and wife Renee, Christopher Torres and six great-grandchildren. Services to take place at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Alvina's honor to the Presbyterian-Kasemen Hospice Inpatient Unit, Constitution Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, to whom we will forever be grateful to for their wonderful care.
