Alvina Sena

Alvina Sena, age 90, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home, Friday, January 31, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winslow, AZ on April 16, 1923 and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. Alvina's hobbies were sewing, cooking, and caring for her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cenobio and Beatrice Madrid; her husband, Sam J. Sena, Sr.; sons, Philip, Gregory and Raymond Sena; and grandsons, Josh Lovato and Luis Sena, Jr. Alvina is survived by her loving children, Sam, Jr., Dolores Gutierrez and husband Eddie, Luis Sena and wife Ina, Mary Bonnesen and husband Scott, Geraldine Loavto and husband David, Anthony Sena and Kathy, Vincent Sena, and Margaret Madrid; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and other numerous relatives and friends. Alvina will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
