Alyssa M. Pierce, 36, lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2022. Alyssa’s life was centered around her two beautiful sons, Camden and Braylon Williams. Her sons were the true loves of her life and the sunshine in her days. They were her entire world, and she will love and protect them for eternity. She was the most devoted mother to them, their loudest cheerleader on the side lines and their best friend.
Besides being beautiful inside and out, she was so smart, graduating from Valley High School, then getting her bachelor’s degree, her master’s degree and most recently pursing her PhD.
She is survived by her two sons, Camden and Braylon Williams; her parents Kim and Richard Pohl, and Robert and Liza Pierce; sisters Racquel Pohl, Holly Burks, Heather Garcia, and Hillary Pierce; grandparents Robert and Pat Kelley, Albert Pohl, Pat and Don Freay and Julia Herbstrith, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Rose Pohl who she loved dearly and welcomed her into heaven.
She was loved by her family, her friends and anyone who met her. Most importantly she was loved by her sons, she will love them endlessly and be with them always.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made on behalf of Alyssa to: NM Coalition Against Domestic Violence, S.A.F.E. House, or Barrett Foundation Inc., to support women who have experienced domestic violence.
