Amelia Disch

Amelia Disch, 88, of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, November 3rd, 2023. Amelia was born in Aragon, New Mexico to William R. and Josifita Jiron Milligan and later moved with her family to Albuquerque where she graduated from St. Mary’s High School (1954).  She attended a business college and was employed at Kirtland Air Force Base where she met her husband, Albert, whom she was married to for 52 years. Amelia was a loving devoted wife and mother of their four children.  Amelia’s lemon meringue pies were a hit with family and friends.  She enjoyed reading, going on cruises, camping and spending time with family. She will be dearly missed. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Albert, Amelia  is survived by her four children, Eric and wife Cathy, Ron and wife Luisa, Cynthia and husband Kevin, and Albert and wife Valerie, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,

On Friday, November 17th, there will be a service for immediate family and friends beginning with a Rosary at 10:30 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Mass following.  The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the Alzheimers Association.
