Amy Janine O'Donald Lawson

It Is with profound sadness that the family of Amy Janine O’Donald Lawson announces her passing on November 15, 2023, at the age of 40. Amy was a graduate of Carrington College out of Albuquerque, NM. Her studies were in the medical field. She worked many years at Presbyterian Hospital as a medical assistant and trained as a surgical nurse assistant. Amy loved working with people and was very kind to everyone she met and knew. She was loved and respected by everyone who crossed her path here on earth. She was always quick to help anyone in need without hesitation.

She went on to work for Shadow Mountain Recovery in Rio Rancho, NM, as a Lead Recovery Tech and was recently promoted to Operations Manager.

Amy is survived by her Husband, Jared Lawson of 11 years; her sons Byron Lujan (Jolie) and Tyler Lawson, her daughter Jadelyn Lawson, her parents Byron F O’Donald Jr and Angie Gonzales O’Donald, her brother Andrew Leon Gonzales (Judy), her sisters Melissa Gonzales Chavez (Mike), Brenda Mae O’Donald (Nathan), Tammy Woomer, and Many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her infant brother, Byron O’Donald III, infant sister Beverly Rose Gonzales, Grandfathers Avelino Gonzalez Sr., Byron F O’Donald Sr., and Grandmother Verneda Brown.

Amy was a free spirit and a happy young woman who loved life. Her hobbies included spending time with her children, her husband, and her pets, amateur photography, singing karaoke, traveling, and camping.

Amy will be forever missed by her family and everyone whose lives she touched.

Amy’s services will be held on December 8^th at 11:00 am at the Family Christian Center HWY 60 & Fowler, Socorro, NM.
