Angela F. Gilbert (Angie), 82, of Corrales, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, with her loving daughter, Roseann, and her devoted dog, T-Bone, by her side. Angie will be deeply missed.
Born on August 5, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Angie was a devoted fiancee to John Crawley and touched the lives of everyone around her. She was a passionate lover of the outdoors, spending her time camping and fishing and was the first woman to work on the Alaskan pipeline. Her love for the outdoors was only surpassed by her love of cooking. Angie found great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones, often delighting them with her famous Italian dishes. Her vibrant personality and culinary prowess contributed to the success of her two restaurants in Oklahoma.
Angie had a unique way of captivating those around her. Her outrageous charm, coupled with her boundless generosity, attracted friends from all walks of life. She was a force of nature, leaving an impact on every person she met, whether they loved her or found themselves caught in the whirlwind of her strong spirit. As Angie embarks on her next adventure, she leaves behind a collection of unforgettable memories, tall tales, and cherished moments that will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her extraordinary life.
Preceded in passing by her cherished fiance, John Cawley; brother, Roy Fillare, beloved grandson, Dominic Shipman, God Daughter; Kim Fillare; and niece, Rita Fillare. Angie leaves behind a loving legacy in her family. She is survived by her sister, Joan and husband Raymond Ecker, children, Roseann and wife Vicki Errigo, Louis Errigo and fiancee Tammy Slechta, Suzanne and husband Todd Hubbard, Dianne Dinkel and fiancee Rodney Bolles, Nicky Shipman and Sam Sena, and Maryanne Miceli and partner Ruby Espinoza; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her loyal protector and companion, T-Bone.
A memorial service will be held on December 26, 2024, at 10:00 am at Daniels family funeral & cremation, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, where family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate the vivacious life of Angie Gilbert. Please honor Angie with three yellow roses.
As we bid farewell to Angie, may we carry her love, laughter, and adventurous spirit with us, allowing her guiding light to sparkle and shine brightly in our hearts and memories.
