Angelita Albina Zamarron

November 28, 1941 — October 7, 2024

Carlisle Chapel

Angela Albina Zamarron was born to Maria C. Valdez and Luis Rodriguez on November 28th, 1941 in Harlingen, Texas and passed on to her next chapter on October 7th, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. She was surrounded by her children, grand children and great grand children.

While married she gave birth to 4 kids between 1961 and 1973. After 20 years of marriage and a subsequent divorce, she became a single mom. She was focused and worked hard to provide for her children.

During her life, mom had a variety of jobs. At one time she was an APS Educational Assistant, a corrections officer at MDC, a Wal-Mart Garden associate, TV/radio personality, a staff member for former Sen. Harrison 'Jack' Schmidt and at one point, a janitor.

Although mom was busy as a sole provider she pursued college courses, enjoyed cake decorating and had a passion for flying which resulted in obtaining her private pilot's license.

By being the example, mom provided us with the ability to face adversity through perseverance, determination and to not give up. To put it simply, mom lived her lfe and embraced her passions without neglecting her children. Mom was always a loving mother in her own way and for that we are eternally grateful.

As much as she was a great mom, she was also a doting, proud grandmother and great grandmother.

Our beautiful mom is proceeded in death by her parents; her beloved aunt, Paula Valdez; and her youngest grandson, Jordan 'Chortnan Bread' Cannon.

She is survived by her children, Louie Zamarron, Ricardo D. Zamarron, Cordelia (Zamarron) Cannon, Joaquin J. Zamarron(girlfriend Paula Aragon); her Grandchildren, Amadis Zamarron, Jonathan Cannon (wife Rachel), and Yasmeen Cannon; her Great grandchildren, Nimah Cannon and William Cannon; her Brother Luis Rodriguez (wife Laura); and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Rest in eternal peace and happiness, mom. You, above anyone deserves that and much more.

We love you and thank you for everything you did for us and for everything you taught us.

"If I made a list of people I admire, mom would probably fill up half of it. She could do anything and everything" ~ Patsy Cline
