Age 89, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born in El Paso, TX on April 23, 1922, to Mexican immigrants Jose and Remedios Sanchez. Angelita was raised in Belen, NM and graduated from Belen High School. She lived and married in Los Angeles before returning to New Mexico. Angelita has been a resident of Albuquerque for 62 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Sanchez, mother, Remedios Cabrera, husband, Benerito D. Gonzales, husband, Juan R. Rodriguez, sister, Flora Ornelas, sister, Ventura Ulibarri, sister, Margarita Martinez, and brother, Genaro Sanchez. Angelita is survived by son, Phillip Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, son, Edward R. Gonzales of Rio Rancho, NM, son, Roy A. Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, daughter, Pearl A. Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, Mark R. Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, dear cousin, Simon Ornelas, son-in-law, Jude Gleason, and daughter-in-law, Susana Gonzales. Angelita was the last surviving member of the Sanchez- Cabrera union. She Lived a full live, often under difficult circumstances with unfailing personal strength. Rosary to be recited on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 6:00 PM at St. Therese of the Little Flower, 3424 4th Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 9:00 AM at St Therese of the Little Flower 3424 4th Street . Internment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Phillip Joe Gonzales, Ruben Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, Arthur Jones, Jude Gleason, and James Gleason.
