Angelo Di Pomazio passed away on November 27, 2021. Angelo was born on September 16, 1929, in Gallup, NM to Nick and Rose Di Pomazio. He graduated from Gallup High School. The United States Army drafted Angelo during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany for 4 years. He then returned to Gallup and began working in the Grocery Industry. He retired after 65 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and participating in the Elks Club.
Angelo is survived by his wife, Lea Di Pomazio, whom he married in Cansano, Italy. They were together for 63 years. He is also survived by his 4 children, Michael Di Pomazio, Debra Chiartano, Nick Di Pomazio, Devon Wrenn; his 8 grandchildren, Nicholas Chiartano, Michael Chiartano, Gregory Chiartano, Ariana Wrenn, Gabriela Di Pomazio, Taylor Wrenn, Shelby Wrenn, Nick Angelo Di Pomazio; and by his 5 great-grandchildren, Zoe Chiartano, Gabriel Chiartano, Rylan Chiartano, Adeline Chiartano, and Elouise Chiartano.
Services for Angelo Di Pomazio will be held on December 13, 2021. Visitation will be at Daniel’s Family Funeral Services at 2400 Southern Blvd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm followed by Mass at 1:30pm, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Pallbearers will be Ariana Wrenn, Gabriela Di Pomazio, Nick Angelo Di Pomazio, Michael Chiartano, Cody Shell and Fred Stephens.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A celebration of Angelo’s life will be held immediately following the graveside service.
