Archuleta, Aniceto B
82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Aragon, NM on August 21, 1932 to Leopoldo and Genoveva (Baca) Archuleta. He grew up in Aragon and then moved to Lemitar in 1949. He joined the United States Army on March 26, 1953. He proudly served until February of 1961. On August 19, 1953, Aniceto married his lifelong love, Ninfa Anaya. Aniceto was a hardworking man, he retired from the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy and then went to work for the Socorro County Landfill. Aniceto loved to work and was proud of his dedicated services. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be forever remembered for his hard working hands and golden heart. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved baby girl, Genevive Archuleta. Aniceto is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ninfa Archuleta; his devoted children, Jeanne Jojola and husband, Alfred; Annie Archuleta and Mick Chavez; and Leopoldo Archuleta II; his sister and brother in law, Petasio and Katie Mendoza; his God son, Benny Mendoza; special friends, Marcella Archuleta; and Cece Archuleta; and many other loving family members and close friends. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Leanne; Carlos and Rachel; Erin; Johnathan; Rachael and Chris; Geneva; Lisa and Enrique; Krystal; Leo Paul; JJ; and Derrick. Aniceto enjoyed his 13 great grandchildren to the fullest, Miguel was Grandpa's little man and took care of him every day. Mr. Archuleta knew this day would come when he began his journey with his Lord, and he wanted to share this with all of his loved ones: "Thanks to all for being with me in my life and for taking care of me; and for all your love. God bless you. Thank all my friends for caring and for their kindness at work, all were very good to me at all times. Also Prescilla Baca for her kindness." The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 9:00 am also at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as celebrant. Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Leo Archuleta, Alfred Jojola, Mick Chavez, Carlos Lopez, John Lopez, and Enrique Zanabria.
